Brent ParlaneBob DylanMick O'Connor

BRENT PARLANE BAND WITH “THE REVEREND” MICK O’CONNOR

(Bob will not be present, but I’m sure he would like to be)

We intend to have a good time, good wine, good food, good music, and a warm party atmosphere for this mid winter event. We’re cutting the pricing and having a sausage sizzle (excellent party fare). We’ve got gas heaters and lovely hot spicy mulled wine for warmth, and a fabulous Harmony Row Sunset if you stay long enough. The Band is led by Tamworth Golden Guitar Winner Brent Parlane and Brod Smith’s Keyboard Guru .. “The Reverend” Mick O’Connor adds still more class to the music mix. Your humble hosts intend to be singing and playing too .. and the first half dozen or so Dylan Folkies who book can reserve a spot for one or two songs in the middle bracket. Backup singers are welcome at all times depending on the limitations of the stage and the discretion of management.

Scratch a Folkie & find a Rocker. Scratch a Rocker & find a Folkie. Bob Dylan. The singer songwriter who has influenced more musicians more than any other writer of the 20th Century. Now in his 60s and still going strong, Dylan has been the subject of many tributes and CDs. Growing up in the 60s my favourite musical pastime was to get the latest Bob Dylan album and learn every song on it. I don’t know any singer songwriter today who has not been influenced by Dylan’s style and poetry.
