I know and love all three of these musicians. Individually they would be worth filling the venue for, but together as The Nightingales they are worth crawling 100 kilometers over broken glass on bare knees just to hear them tune up. They have a charisma, a presence, an aura about them.
They recently did a gig at Burrinja Performing Arts Space. The gig was such a huge success they have been inundated with questions about when they are performing again. This is something big in the making. It’s taken much discussion, and red wine (our specialty) and cheese platters and chocolate (does it for me), but they are on their way up.
Recently they took the 2007 National Celtic Festival at Portarlington by storm with three full house knockout concerts. Eric Bogle’s right hand man, John Munro, said that the Nightingales blew him away with their harmonies. They are also performing at Port Fairy this year so watch out for them there.
I cannot wait for this concert at Harmony Row. It will be a ripper. See you there.!!!!
